Yes, it does.  If you don't see problems at 57600 bps but you do at 
115200 bps, then it's almost certainly some kind of flow-control problem.

If leaving it at 57600 bps resolves the matter even for fax images with 
very, very large amounts of data on them, then I think that is a fine 
workaround.  However, if you can determine that it will work fine with 
115200 bps when ModemFlowControl is set to "xonxoff" instead of "rtscts" 
(or vice-versa) then it would be best to correctly configure that - EVEN 
if you then go back to 57600 bps. You really do want to make sure that 
the flow control is being used properly.

(There will eventually be some page with enough data on it that will 
overflow the buffer at any bitrate in certain sessions.  Proper flow 
control is important.)
