I recently installed the most stable release of hylafax+ on my openSuse box
and I am noticing an issue that is driving me nuts and cant figure out the
correct way to deal with it.

Hylafax starts on boot up which is want I want. It, for the most part,
operates the way I want it to when it receives a fax. I still need to do
some minor tweaks which should not be a problem to configure.
Since my machine configuration is in development, often times I'll have the
modem disconnected. Hylafax dutifully send me email telling me:

"The HylaFAX software thinks that there is a problem with the modem
on device /dev/ttyACM0 that needs attention; repeated attempts to
initialize the modem have failed.
Consult the server trace logs for more information on what is happening.
You will be notified again after 5 minutes if the problem persists."

I have also got the message that it thinks the modem is wedged....

Remembering to stop hylafax stops the messages...but, sometimes I forget
and my mail box gets LOTS of messages...

Can someone point me to some configuration file and associated variable I
need to adjust to either inhibit the sending of this message or set the
message interval to something on the order of a day??

Best regards,
John
