Thank you very much Lee. The modem is a MultiTech MT5634ZBA. The line is 
a voip line shared between fax and voice call. When a call is incoming 
the phone exchange recognise a fax incoming call end send it to the 
modem line. The provider is fastweb.

We don't receive a lot of faxes... any way some faxes are correctly 
received some doesn't.

People that have problems to send faxes says that have only problems 
with us...

Do you think the problem is on the line? Can I try to ask the provider 
to solve the problem?
