Email sender authentication

Hello! I'm using Hylafax+ 5.5.9 with iaxmodem 1.3.0 and Asterisk 13.17.2. This is a new setup which I am trying to get to work for an email-to-fax solution. So far, I have got command-line faxing working (i.e. sendfax -d <number> <text file>). I will be using Postfix and would like to accept email from a pre-defined list of users (on various domains) to a publicly-accessible subdomain (i.e. [email protected]). The information I have found thus far talks about how to configure Postfix to pass emails destined to the fax.domain.org subdomain to the mail2fax script. What I am not clear about is how email senders are managed/authenticated? I believe that to Hylafax these faxes would all be coming from the local Postfix user, so faxadduser is not necessary? I assume then that Postfix would need to do the sender authentication? Anyone have any examples on how to do this? -- Nabeel Jafferali
