hmm, with the new release version v0.6 (which is coming out at the end 
of january), jurabib is using only a wrapper for \footnote macros, so 
that these code fragments you posted are no longer part of jurabib. So 
you have to modify this in another way (copying definition of 
\@footnotetext from latex.ltx and modify appropriately). jurabib will 
pick up this definition.
