titleformat=italic does not work

Hi all,

I try to typeset my Bibliography using jurabib version v0.6. I tried to 
change the titleformat to =italic (it has to look like MLA style), but 
nothing happened. Then I tried

\renewcommand*{\jbtitlefont}{\textit}

in my preambel, still, nothing happened, the title is still looking 
normal. I have not changed anything in my jurabib.cfg file.

Here is what I have written in my preambel:

\usepackage[%
     authorformat=and,
     titleformat=italic,
     commabeforerest,
     dotafter=bibentry,
]{jurabib}%

Can anyone tell me what this is all about?
