Does anyone how to tweak the Oxford style that comes with jurabib to
make it behave as close to MLA style as possible?

I came pretty close, but got stuck on two remaining issues:

1. how to insert parentheses around the sequence publisher, address:
year in books items

In other words, I need to go from :

Thomas Wall, _Radical Passivity_ Albany, NY: SUNY Press, 1999

to

Thomas Wall, _Radical Passivity_ (Albany, NY: SUNY Press, 1999)

2. How to insert double quotation marks around articles' titles (and
books chapters, etc.), but not around books' titles

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best,

Stefano
