Thanks, Jesse and Carsten for the "verbatim author" workarounds. Helpful
as ever!

I keep thinking I'm done, but other things crop up. My latest problem is
that I need slightly different formatting in the citations compared to the
bibliography.

Specifically, I'd like to use pages=format for citations in the footnotes,
but not in the bibliography. Equivalently (in my case), I want
pages=format for pages specified in the optional argument to \cite or
\footcite, but no for pages specified in the bibtex file. Any way to do
this?

I also need to suppress the publisher name in citations, but keep it in
the bibliography. Is this possible?

thanks, and sorry for so many queries recently,

seb
