I've attached a minimal example of the first problem. I have a nasty
feeling that it is in the category of "user error", but shouldn't the
page numbers of the whole article be printed in footnote 2? Even if
this is not the default, is there any way to force them to be?
I can't seem to replicate the problem I'm getting in my main Thesis,
where a footnote for an article that does not have the optional page
number argument is not produced with a closing ".", since as you can
see from the attached files, it seems to work fine in the minimal
example, which is very odd.
Best wishes,
N.

If you have a problem, please provide a complete minimal example document (with a small bibliography database), which runs out of he box without any superfluous packages loaded, otherwise we could not help.
