In case it's any use, let me point you at a patch (a modification to the 
jurabib source code) I created a few months ago which supresses the 
publisher name in citations, as you seek.

I never got any response to that message, so I imagine the patch wasn't 
absorbed into the official jurabib source code. Jens, did you decide it 
wasn't appropriate, or just not have time to look at it?
