Oxford - several minor separator changes?

Hello!

I am using the jox in an effort to make the citations in my footnotes
look like chicago style (I am a historian).  I'm most of the way
there, but I have three small issues, which I hope can be solved with
a \renewcommand:

1. I would like to change the Oxford-style single quotes around
journal titles to double-quotes.

2. I would like to change the separator between the volume and the
number for journal articles.  Right now, it is a colon, and I would
like either a comma and a space or, better, a comma and "no. ".

3. I would like to change the comma after the date to a colon.

4. If I could move the comma inside the title quotes, that would be
great, but I get the sense that such a thing is impossible.

So right now, the cite is formatted like so:

John Smith, `A Great Article', \emph{Big Journal} 32:2 (April 2000), 45-56

And I would like it to be:

John Smith, "A Great Article," \emph{Big Journal} 32, no. 2 (April
2000): 45-56

I would *very* much appreciate help on any or all of these points.  I
have gone very carefully over the documentation and searched on the
web, in the newsgroups, and on this list with no success.  Thank you!!
