I don't think it is possible. It is also a very illogical sytem. Either you
choose to go the short citation way, either the Ibid. or op. cit. way. A
miw of the two is strange.

Try to make your supervisor / publisher buy the lookat option. It generates
short footnotes for the publisher but nice for the reader.
