Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick. Same problem, no commas in the superscripts within the text, just gave me different centering in the footnotes themselves. I can't seem to figure out why Jurabib isn't doing it automatically, as it says right in the release docs. It should be the default. My preamble is relatively short, but jumbled together in my attempts to learn LaTeX and, more than anything, get papers to compile. I've included it below. Perhaps I have a conflict that I'm not aware of? (although I've tried taking almost every piece out to see if it loses the problem with footnoting during compilation, to no avail). Thanks again!
