Hi all,
I am trying to get my document to conform to the MHRA style. Here are some examples of
how the footnotes should look:
Book:
Bruce Manning Metzger, A textual commentary on the Greek New Testament : a
companion volume to the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament (3rd ed.)
(London: UBS, 1971), p. 12.
Article
Thorleif Boman, `Das Textkritische Problem des Sogenannten Aposteldekrets', Novum
Testamentum, 7 (1964), 2636 (p. 27).
Article in book (incollection)
Peter Head, `Acts and the Problem of its Texts', in The Book of Acts in Its Ancient
Literary Setting, ed. by Bruce W. Winter and Andrew D. Clarke (Eerdmans, Grand
Rapids mi, 1993), pp. 41544 (p. 442-4) .
I am using jurabib, but I cannot get it to conform with these specifications. My troubles
are:
1. Concerning the article in book. I cannot swap the title and author around, I tried using
edby to no avail. I read somewhere that this is because I am using oxford style, what can I
do?
2. At the moment I have to cite books as follows /cite[p.~41]{ref1} to get the correct
pages. The issue is that articles don't have pp. or p. in front of the page span, only in front
of the cited page, whereas articles in books DO have pp. and p. (Books also have pp. and
p.)
3. I need a comma after the journal title.
I have enclosed my attempt to conjure these specifications, I am sorry if it looks like a
series of hacks stuck together, I this is close as I can get, using bits and pieces from this
and other fora.
Thanks for any help!
