For further context, I've removed "mtx-install-modules.lua" from the
ConTeXt in TeX Live, since trying to run that there would either not
work or break the installation. So my guess is that you had the mtxrun
from TL (or a distro package) in your $PATH ahead of (or instead of) the
mtxrun from the Standalone Distribution.

For the next update, instead of outright deleting these scripts, I've
replaced them with a script that tells you to use "tlmgr" instead. This
way, it should be more clear what's happening.
