To tell you the truth, I try to resist.
But then I run into a problem where I don't know The One True ConTeXt Way
and expediency gets me going. You might be pleased to know that I even
tried an
\expandafter\expandafter\expandafter
yesterday.

I added that to the beginning of my sample file, but I see neither error
messages nor warning messages. Maybe someone has put up a blockade
somewhere.
