That's perfect, just what I was looking for.

I added the information to the \field wiki page.  (When I went to do that
for \definefield and \setupfield, I see it was already there.  Duh.)

Thanks for that.  I hope you don't mind that I put it in the wiki page for
\field.  (If you prefer I don't, let me know and I'll remove it from that
page.)
