The Japanese TeX Development Community submitted an update to the

                           japanese-otf

package.

Summary description:  Advanced font selection for platex and its friends

 Based on japanese-otf-uptex Ver.0.31.

 japanese-otf-uptex:

 * Support Unicode variation sequences (SVS, IVS)
   and combined characters in Japanese plain text.
   It requires the latest software (upTeX and dviware) in TeX Live 2025.

 * Update reference Unicode Blocks-17.0.0.txt.
