Announcement text:

The biblatex-software package has been updated to version 1.2-8.

This release completes crossref functionality for software bibliography
entry types (software, softwareversion, softwaremodule, codefragment).
Key features in this release:

* Full support for concise format with automatic field omission
  - Child entries automatically inherit fields from parent entries via the
    crossref field
  - Supports multi-level inheritance (e.g., software → version → module → fragment)
  - With the concise format enabled:
     - When a parent entry is cited, child entries show only differing fields
     - Automatically omits matching fields: title, version, editor, author,
       institution, url, repository, hal_id, license
     - Provides citation reference to parent entry for context
