De stand anno 2010 staat hier beschreven:

Anno 2016 zal er het een en ander veranderd zijn maar een beetje online zoe=
ken zal ongetwijfeld meer info geven.
Om eerlijk te zijn zie ik niet zo goed in waarom je een online compiler zou=
gebruiken maar er is blijkbaar vraag naar.
Een jaar of 10 geleden was er een (zelfbenoemde) internetgoeroe die beweerd=
e dat de tijd voorbij was dat gebruikers hun eigen software zouden hebben. =
In de toekomst zou iedereen een abonnement nemen op bijvoorbeeld een online=
tekstverwerker - een soort MS Word via het internet. Ik vond dat toen een =
raar verhaal, want MS Word is op zichzelf al een hel, laat staan als het oo=
k nog eens online moet, om nog maar helemaal te zwijgen over beveiliging en=
privacy. De werkelijkheid is dat we er nu een beetje tussenin zitten: er z=
ijn diensten om je gegevens online op te slaan, maar dingen als online teks=
tverwerken zie je (nog ?) niet veel.

Een NTG lid stuurde me een LaTeX bestand dat bij hem problemen gaf en aanva=
nkelijk dacht ik niet te kunnen helpen omdat ik momenteel geen LaTeX instal=
latie op mijn laptop heb (wel ConTeXt) maar ik zag na wat zoeken op Google =
dat www.sharelatex.com online bewerking en compilatie van LaTeX documenten =
aanbiedt.=20
Het leek me onwaarschijnlijk dat zoiets ook echt zou werken, maar gek genoe=
g lukte het meteen. Er kwam een keurige PDF uit, wel met een foutmelding da=
t een \compactitem omgeving niet correct was afgesloten en nadat ik die had=
aangepast liep het verder helemaal prima. Ik kon het mede-NTG lid zodoende=
een oplossing bieden en de correcte PDF als illustratie ervan.
Zijn er hier gebruikers die meer ervaring hebben met dergelijke online dien=
sten en zo ja, kan iemand daar iets over vertellen? Zijn sommige beter dan =
anderen, en voor zover er een bijdrage wordt gevraagd voor de dienstverleni=
ng, hoe verhoudt zich die tot wat er wordt geboden?
Ik hoor/lees graag wat de ervaringen zijn!
