Ja, man kann Befehle auch mit etoolbox patchen, oder direkt
umdefinieren.

Schreibe ctan und frag. Aber wenn das Paket geupdated wird, bekommst
du und deine Kollegen das erst, wenn Ihr auch updated. Also mache es
am besten gleich. Dann hast du es hinter drin.
