The ImageMagick docs confirm my statement about the media box, and say that you can use e.g. `convert file.pdf -define pdf:use-cropbox=true file.png`, but I can't get this to work here. The -define flag requires a recent version of ImageMagick, so putting that in latex2rtf is probably not the best option. On OS X, using sips might be interesting, since it generally has pretty good PDF support, and wouldn't require any 3rd party software (gs, ImageMagick).
