As a follow-up, I've just installed crossover-office and officeXP on
my Debian laptop, and it looks like it is more than serviceable. If
that turns out to be true, this will be a great relief. Well, except
for the fact that it will mean MSWord has followed me into the GNU/Linux
world, but at least I'll be able to do all my editing and
word-processing on the same machine.
