Thanks for letting me know. I knew about ttm, which converts simple
latex equations but fails for me for displayed math. I have heard that
Omega provides a tool as well, but did not know about TeX4ht.

I did not know that word has this feature. 


I understand correctly?

A. Latex can be converted to html + CSS (I think tth can not do
   this)
B. Latex can be converted to mml.


But   can  the  equations  then   be   modified in word??? Are  they converted
internally to eq fields?
