Thanks.  You could have used the -F option and modified the
latex2png script to use pdflatex instead of latex.  Your patch
makes this relatively obscure work-around unnecessary.

You patch applied cleanly and I appreciate that you patched
against the latest CVS version.  Your patch is now in CVS.
