problems with pdf documentclass option

hi i'm an amateur latex and prosper user... have problems with creating pdf 
files in prosper.
when 'pdf' is not specified in the documentclass options (= 'ps' by default) i 
can creat the pdf file and it seems to be fine. when i specify `pdf' in the 
documentclass options, 
 \documentclass[default,pdf,distiller,]{prosper}
the output in pdf is a tiny, zoomed out blank page in the middle. i have no 
idea what do i do wrong. i latex the file, dvips the file then open it with 
distiller.
also, in each ('ps' or 'pdf' option) case there is a dvi error:

Failed to make tmpps1.pbm by the command
c:\gs\gs8.53\bin\gswin32c.exe @tmp$.@@@ 

i work in windows.

any help will be appreciated!
