You have to use the \myitem command.
In the fyma style (PPRfyma), independently the particular color, I defined the 
bullets like this
	\myitem{1}{\scriptsize\raisebox{2pt}{\ensuremath{\bullet}}}
	\myitem{2}{\scriptsize\raisebox{2pt}{\ensuremath{\circ}}}
where 1 and 2 refers to the depth of the itemize environment (primary = 1, 
nested = 2)
