I think a simple temporary solution is to comment out the line:

  \RequirePackage{pstcol}

in prosper.cls (i.e., put a '%' before it).  Before doing this I was
getting the \ColC and \ColD errors and lots of undefined colours.
Different errors for different PPRstyles (although some styles worked
just fine)! Once commented out they all appeared to work. This is with
the CVS version.... on Debian unstable it is version
1.00.4+cvs.2003.05.21-2. On Debian the file is in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/prosper/prosper.cls. You could take a copy
of it and put it in your local folder.
