Watching prosper pdf's with gv

Greetings everyone. I have troubles viewing pdf's created by Prosper 
when using gv. The display seems to hang indefinitely, without showing 
contents of the slides. I use acroread now but am not satisfied with the 
way it handles (i.e. does not handle) file updates.

Is there a workaround that I could use to make files display in gv?
