Another newbie

Hi,

As the subject suggests, I'm new to using Prosper, and so have bunches of
questions.  First off, is there a good manual (besides the distribution
one) or howto somewhere that I've missed?  I found the prosper wiki and a
few others, but none really seemed to address my questions.  If you can
point me to something that would answer them, it would save everyone's
time.

Now for the questions:

1) What units does Prosper use, and how big is the drawing area?  I tried
doing some of the unit redefinition suggested with "prosper is based on
the seminar class", but it gives me slides that are off in size & position
when I view them.

2) I have a number of images (photos) to show, one image per slide.  They
were taken by different people, and so have different aspect ratios.  I
want to divide the screen vertically into two areas (minipages?).  On the
left is the image, on the right some text.  The image is always a fixed
width, with height adjusting.  This works when the image is long & narrow,
but when it's short, the text will often appear below the image.

3) When I use vector EPS figures like graphs or drawings with a colored
background style, the graphic is displayed on top of the background, and
so is somewhat less legible than I'd really want.  Is there a way to blank
out the box in which the graphic will appear?
