\tiny causes line-spacing problems

Hello Prosper users,

I've been encountering this problem for a while:
if I change font size using \scriptsize or \tiny,
the line spacing dramatically increases. Has any
one else experienced this?

I am attaching an example that illustrates this
problem. Notice the large spacing between the last
two lines.

I'd appreciate it if anyone could throw any light
on this issue and how I could fix it (other than
using the vspace kludge that I am currently using).
