Hello, 

Thanks to Trond Varslot, who did send me a '.log' file from his
succesful compilation, I did find the only difference in hyperref
version. Upgrading from hyperref 6.70m  to 6.74m did solve my problem.
Unfortunately, the original problem of Amitabh Chaudhary remains.
