Hi, I am a PCTeX (version 5) user, and am interested in trying my hand at using prosper to make slides. The PCTeX web site provides files for installing the needed packages (prosper, seminar, hyperref, pstricks), which I have done. Unfortunately, I get an error message when I try to run a simple file, which actually seems to be coming from pstricks (the version available from PCTeX is 0.92, which is pretty old, so perhaps that's the problem). I'll put in a few details at the end of this message, but first, let me ask my questions: (1) Has anyone on this list successfully used prosper with PCTeX? If so, how? If not, do you use a different package for making slides? (2) I wonder if my problems are related to being in a Windows environment, rather than Unix/Linux. Can anyone tell if that is the case from the results below? (3) I went to the pstricks listserv archives, and found a fairly recent message saying that pstricks won't run under PCTeX. Does anyone know if that is true? If so, I guess that answers all of my questions at once. I am not a member of this group (since I don't know if I'll be using prosper), so I'd appreciate any replies being sent directly to my e-mail address [email protected]. Thanks.
