colors screwed up in full screen display

Hi,

I've downloaded and installed the latest version (1.2.4?) It works fine
on my Powerbook, running OSX 10.3 with TeTex.  However, on my desktop Dell
with a stock SuSe 9.0 distro and Acroread 5.0, the colors are all screwed
up in full-screen mode.  Looks fine in the usual X-window.  Any ideas?
