gv and cropped PDF

I used lyx and tex-prosper-1.00.4 to create a nice presentation a few
months ago.
When viewing a PDF with gv the bottom side of the document is missing.
(I have gv-3.5.8.)
It is displayed sideways and when I switch to portrait, it crops the right
side off of the image (about one inch is lost).
When viewed with other PDF viewers, I am able to rotate and use it
correctly.
I did create a new GV.medias in my ~/.gv for testing, but doesn't seem to
help:
GV.medias: Letter, 612 792\n\
Slide, 792 612\n\
Slide2, 892 712\n\
I used 792x612 because gv said "y792x612" by default.
I used: "gv -media slide -portrait" and it shows it the correct direction
but still is missing about an inch on the right side.
I also used my "slide2" and same missing right side.
Any suggestions on how to view a prosper PDF with gv?
I prefer to use gv because often with xpdf I get all dots instead of text.
