Hi there.

Sorry for this late reply  on the issue involving 
the problem some people have with with backgrounds
on ar5. Indeed, upgrading ar is a way to go.. 

But, if for some reason (eg- wanna keep tuned with
stable official releases for your distribution),
there is another solution that I found on
the web some weeks ago:

It basically consists on a redefinition of the white bg color..I've 
implemented it myself, and everything went pretty well.
