Hi Max, > and line 1207 shows that "texlive-scripts" failed to update at some > point, so I guess tlmgr decided to uninstall it entirely. That shouldn't happen. If an update fail, it does try to revert to the previous installed version from a backup made before update is started. Of course, if the restore also failed, then all is lost. I have **no** idea why that completely failed, since the log doesn't show the errors that probably were shown on the console. It is also hard to guess **why** the restore failed. It seems that tlmgr was able to **remove** the old files, but did not manage to install the new ones. I am not sure what more could be done here ... > Also, I discovered that "mktexlsr" takes different arguments on Unix > than on Windows: Yes, that is historically, since the perl version on Windows is horribly slow and we use Akira's binary, but it has different options. > I know that mktexlsr is implemented completely differently on Windows, > but it would probably make sense for it to take the similar arguments as > the Unix version. Someone would need to look into unifying this, I am sure that Akira does not mind adjusting the code.
