"works for me" on opensuse tumbleweed!
I get the same output as Markus showed.
which OS and distro are you using?
texdoc seems to be quite stable, so likely not a new issue?!
this is from my TL26 installation:
$ texdoc --version
Texdoc 4.1.1 (2025-02-11)
