Nope :(. I can't even recall any serious math articles in TUGboat et al.
after the original articles by Hobby and Knuth.

FWIW, I've tried to maintain a list of mpost-related articles at
http://tug.org/metapost.html. That page does have links for a series of
articles detailing the post-Hobby developments by Taco (Hoekwater), Hans
(Hagen), Luigi (Scarso), et al.
