For use with MiKTeX I also do not recommend Adobe Reader. However, as 
long as we are talking Windows here, IMHO every list of "good" PDF 
viewers should mention 

  SumatraPDF
  http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/free-pdf-reader.html

AFAIK, SumatraPDF is the only PDF reader that even supports Forward 
and Inverse Search.
