File name database capacity exceeded

Hello,

I want to install MiKTeX on my notebook after using MiKTeX 2.8 on my 
desktop for some years. I used the instruction

Downloading with wget http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm 
was not a problem. But the second task (Install MiKTeX) is making me 
headache. I answered all questions as told me by the documentation, the 
installer verified all the files, and installed 75,673 files on my hard 
disk. No it complains:
   MiKTeX Setup Wizard
   The operation could not be completed for the following reason:
   File name database capacity exceeded.

The last lines in the log window are:

extracting files from zefonts.tar.lzma
extracting files from zhmetrics.tar.lzma

Error: File name database capacity exceeded.

There is still enough space on the hard disk. What should I do to 
install MiKTeX successfully?
