The file name database (FNDB) has nothing to do with hard disk space: The FNDB is an index of the installed files and is used by the miktex applications for faster searching. I would call it a bug if its capacity is really exceeded by installing a complete miktex. (I never installed a complete miktex so I don't know if there is really a problem and you are the first complaining about it). To get around the problem you can install a basic miktex and then add more packages with on-the-fly installation or the package manager (You can use the folder where you downloaded all the packages as local repository, so you don't have to download all again). -- Ulrike Fischer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
