YAP does not remember last page

I discovered another peculiarity in the new YAP (2.9.4148): after I
recompile the file and switch back to the YAP window, it reopens the
document at a random page. (In fact, this new page remains constant for a
while, but NOT the one that I left it in.) Since I usually recompile after
every single sentence, this is rather frustrating. 

Has anyone observed this behavior and does anyone know a fix? YAP is in the
dvips mode, to which I'm forced by hyperref.
