Here's the deal, folks. If you want to work with open-source gnu-ware, you work the products of volunteer labor. If you don't want to put the time in, you can purchase Adobe Acrobat Pro or MS Word. You trade your money for their expertise. If you don't want to pay the money, you pay with your time. I've been a user of gnu-ware since 1980, have written LaTeX classes and styles, and am quite aware of the trade-off. You can't get something for nothing.
