I had already seen this suggestion in your earlier postings on the same 
subject that I found via google. Yes, I use "ç", "ä" and letters with 
accents in file names (e.g., many .eps) to be included into my master 
document. But up to now these names never gave problems. And before 
changing all "suspect" names in a project of hundreds of files (and the 
respective uses within the .tex files, obviously), I was awaiting if 
there were other solutions -- as all has functioned up to the last 
update a few days ago ...
