Hi, since some time ago, first compilation (pdflatex) of any document after a computer switch on takes too long (20 or more seconds) to start. After that it starts immediately. I thought it was a problem with TeXworks and commented in its mail list but they told me same happens with TeXniccenter. I've also found this behavior typesetting from command window, so it seems to be a problem with MikTeX and not the interfaces. Have you seen same problem? Is it a bug or a 'new' usual behavior? I'm using windowsxp and today updated miktex.
