Re: downloading the MiKTeX package "symbol"

I've just downloaded the files from ftp://ftp.fagskolen.gjovik.no, which according to your recommended web link was online and intact. This finally seems to have solved the problem. Thank you very much for your patience.

I just tried and it worked without problems with a current miktex.
Perhaps one of the files are broken. Redownload them. Take an up-to-date and intact server:
