Droid needs explicit uninstall to be updated?

Hi,

After the fix of

I have updated my MikTeX system using both the normal package manager 
and the administrator-version, without the droid package being updated. 
The problem that I had persisted. I had to explicitly uninstall the 
droid package with the normal package manager (as it had been installed 
on demand, probably) and as it installed again on demand everything was 
fine. The "packaged on" date however is still on 2011-09-13, as before.

My guess is that the problem has been addressed not in the droid package 
itself but in other parts of MikTeX, like things that happen 
post-installation. Therefore droid had to be re-installed after the 
update, and the instruction in de tracker to update the system was just 
not sufficient.

If this is the case I think we can leave it as is, but some of you may 
see technicalities in this that are worth addressing.
