Yes, an alternative.  Even though I am the only user of this machine,
I do not have admin access.

You did not remark on the path names containing "/" instead of "\". Is
that not a problem?  I thought that might explain the "do not exist"
messages.

If one supposes that "regsvr" has something to do with the registry,
then permission failures make sense.  But if high permissions are
needed for a single user download, then the single user mode is not
that useful.

The bigger problem for me at the moment is that uninstall is not
working, so starting over is problematic.
