I have a problem: I inputed a Latex file with Miktex. However, when I used the Texmaker to obtain a pdf,
all I get is 1 page of non sensical equations and nothing else, no writings. I am new to this, but I began my Latex file with \documentclass{article} \begin{document} \begin{titlepage} \begin({abstract}.
Any help is appreciated.

Ok. The simplest way to go is to use a LaTeX dedicated editor. For
instance, you might install TeXmaker, or TeXstudio (free). Open your file
in the editor, and in the 'tools' menu, click on pdflatex (F6 for
texmaker). This will launch the pdflatex compiler on your file. You'll the
compile log in the bottom window. If your file has no errors, the
compilation will end in a pdf file, which you can read with the integrated
viewer.
